Members of the Siena College community will be demonstrating exciting projects from the world of physics, robotics, 3D printing — and even Minecraft! — at the Troy Mini Maker Faire on Saturday August 27 from 11 am to 6 pm. Come see their displays:
- Cloud Chamber – Observe the tracks left by particles from radioactive decays as they zip through a contained alcohol mist.
- e-NABLE hands – Students at Siena College have been creating 3D-printed hands to children in need of artificial limbs. Check out samples of the hands and the 3D printers used to create them.
- Robotics – Learn how to measure the motion of robotic cars using accelerometers.
- MinecraftEDU worlds – Students can learn physics in a new and exciting way using the Pressure and Force activity from Minecraft’s educational component.
